Everyday people worldwide promote and spread news about Korean culture, society and history through a variety of content. These are Honorary Reporters, members of a program run by the Korean Culture and Information Service (KOCIS) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism who promote Korea overseas, highlight cultural exchanges and convey such news back to Korea .

As of 2023, 4,536 Honorary Reporters in 129 countries formed one of the world`s largest fan communities on Korea through Korea.net. They write articles on Korea-related news from just about everywhere on the planet in ten languages: English, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, French, German, Vietnamese and Indonesian. Their topics cover everything related to Korea from K-pop and K-dramas to tourism in the Land of the Morning Calm.
